To sell cars online you need Leads coming in daily and you must put your inventory online with photos!

There are a lot of Buying Services out there. Most Dealers Like them because they generate lots of leads that turn into sales. Consumers love online buying services because they can reach a large number of dealers through the use of a single site.

Most Manufacturers don't like them because they feel that they can offer the Consumers better content and service on their own site. Love them or Hate them, Consumers will dictate that Buying Services are here to stay. We researched some of the Top Car Buying Sites on the Net to give you a summary of what each one offers and which ones compete with major profit areas for most Car Dealerships.

From what we could tell, the New Car Buying Sites are all pretty much the same. It's easier to sell new cars on the Internet. We know that as fact. But the real profit center for most dealerships is in used cars, and it's effectively selling used cars that dealers seem to be having the most problems with.

There are some very important points here. For one, auto sites that use Zip Codes to define customer search areas are fine for looking up new cars, but when it comes to used cars they do not facilitate the fact that people will travel further for the right used car. They also require site visitors that wish to search in say another city, county or state, to actually know the Zip Codes!! ... good luck with that one. Displaying your inventory with photos across a wide array of sites can give your dealership a big boost in customer traffic!

OK, We see the same companies telling you that they are "Dealer Friendly" and that they "have the dealers best interests in mind" lying to you. Fact, since this cheat sheet has been up, several of the companies listed have gone under. The remaining companies are trying to post profits anyway they can.. Whether it's selling Financing, Warranties, Parts or Brokering the actual Car, they want to tap into your profit.

So as you can see, not all of the Buying Services are "Dealer Friendly." Some offer Better Leads, some offer More Leads. Whatever the case, you must take into account the big picture when selecting your next Lead Provider.
